Humans

Overview

The Goddess Oriani created the Humans of the mortal realm after seeing the other races that the Gods had made to populate the world. She wanted to give the lands a people who could survive and thrive across every region. They spread far and wide, creating incredible societies and great nations that worshipped the Gods. Initially, the Humans of the world resided in Sollovast. Still, after several rifts began to grow within their civilization due to religious intolerance, the Humans split into various tribes, migrating across the land to form the Current Age nations of Sovereign Shores, Nastiabach and Mt. Mavak. Many Humans made homes for themselves in the deserts of Torvala and the forests of Ulthran, proving to Oriani that her creations could adapt to any and all things that life put before them.

Culture

Cultural traditions vary depending on the nation. All Humans have a general interest in the arts and music. The Human kingdoms all follow the faith of Oriani, although the faith is strongest in Sovereign Shores. Religion is very important in Vathria, and Humans have fought holy wars to defend the name of their Goddess. Their arts reflect their love of Oriani, and numerous ballads and works of poetry have survived the eons of time, exalting the virtues of the Goddess that left them long ago.

Government

Vathria

A hundred years before the Current Age, King Thellen Brightborn of the Sovereign Shore launched a campaign across the lands to unify all regions under his authority. He was successful and named his dream Vathria. Today all nations look to the Sovereign Shores and King Abellon Brightborn, father of the Champion Arthur. Not all nations are happy as members of the Vathrian dream; some either covet total power or wish to secede entirely from the unification. Wars have been fought, but the Brightborns have always shown the strength to maintain their rule and the dominance of the Sovereign Shores over the other kingdoms.

Physical

Humans are relatively ordinary in their physical aspects compared to other races, though what makes them shine is their adaptability. Clothing typically varies depending on the region and class ranking. Those who live in the southern regions tend to be more tanned with darker skin, whereas, in the north, complexions are likely to be paler.

Personality

Unlike other races, Humans like to migrate and settle across different regions. Apart from the Dwarves, they are also the only race that has fully split into different nations and are actively fighting against each other.

Talents

While generally not as talented as Elves, humans have great potential for magic and mastering the Holy Light of Oriani. There are a large number of Human engineers who follow in the footsteps of the Dwarves and Gnomes, seeking out ways to design Human made inventions. Humanity truly is a race of all trades as they are capable of learning and pushing hard in the achievement of any skill their set their mind on.
