Minotaurs

Overview

Minotaurs were never overly peaceful, having spent their existence connected to the Orcs in Mt. Mavak. They are seen as brutish and idiotic, with a thirst for blood and violence, perhaps more than the Orcs themselves. Minotaurs generally keep to themselves and their clans though some have found notoriety in Vathria by using their strength to assist with construction across the Kingdoms.

Culture

Minotaurs do not share the same historical shame as the Orcs, though much of their modern culture is similar. The clans will partake in ritualist combat, often to the death, as both sport and cultural pastime.

Government

The Minotaurs follow the leader of their clan, though their numbers are far smaller than that of the Orcs, so it is not unheard of for Orcs and Minotaurs to live together in clan grounds following the worthy chieftain regardless of their race.

Physical

Similar in size and stature to the Orcs, the Minotaurs of Vathria differ in their heads. While their bodies are humanoid, Minotaurs have great heads that resemble that of a bull. They are born with no horns, but as a Minotaur age, horns will grow also. A Minotaur is prized and respected by the length and thickness of their horns, and the ultimate shame for a Minotaur is to lose their horns in combat defeat or in warfare.

Personality

Minotaurs are bullish and proud creatures, much like the Orcs but are considered wiser. They are prone to rage and are quick to temper, but unlike the Orcs, they share their tribes with, Minotaurs are faster to calm themselves and see reason.

Talents

Minotaurs have great strength and can lift a boulder or cart with little difficulty. Though it is considered shameful in their society, there have been Minotaurs in centuries past who have used their bodies to pull loads as service instead of oxen or teams of horses.
