Elves

Overview

Elves are a once-immortal species of humanoids that reside in the kingdom of Faymalia, creations of the goddess Elara and known for their grace, agility, and magical strength. They are led by King Winma Luinsul, ruler of Althorienne, the Elven capital city. Elara originally only created High Elves and Wood Elves. Still, the after the Heavensblight, a new race appeared when Gereth gave the power of the shadow to a group of Wood Elves who had become disillusioned with the ways of Faymalia. They became the first Dark Elves in the world and have since built their kingdom deep beneath the Elven nation.

Culture

High Elves tend more towards austerity and elegance to the point where outsiders and other Elven races label them arrogant. The Wood Elves tend to be rougher than their High Elven brethren, though still more elegant than other races, and enjoy fighting folk music and woodland cuisines. The Dark Elves frequently fight against one another but are cunning in their manipulations. Many people consider the Dark Elves to be creatures of terror though they have built a rich culture of music and poetry that has evolved along with their understanding of the world. Despite the first Dark Elves being born of Gereth's shadow magic, not all Dark Elves today are evil. Many wish to live their lives as best as they can.

Government

The High and Wood Elves follow King Winma Luinsul, while the Dark Elves follow Queen Belmarniss.

Physical

All Elves share common characteristics of having long, pointed ears, an inability to grow facial hair, and an ethereal attractiveness. Their height ranges from around 5 foot 10 inches to 6 foot 6 inches (177-198cm).

Personality

The High and Wood Elves tend to be more elegant than the other races, while the Dark Elves are more vicious and cunning.

Talents

The High Elves are gifted in the knowledge of the arcane magics, while the Wood Elves are lithe and athletic and have a knack for archery. The Dark Elves are resilient and powerful in their dark magic.
