Fauns

Overview

Fauns, like the Faeries, are part of the natural tapestry of the forests of Ulthran. They are part goat, part Humans, who reside all across the jungle kingdom. They are peace-loving and are fond of music and the arts. Whiles Faeries tend to stay closer to the Faery settlements. Fauns are found across Ulthran interacting and traveling for festivals or commerce. Like Human Druids, they are one of the more common races to wander the forest.

Culture

The Fauns are gifted in the arts of the world, and most are talented in music and playing musical instruments. There have been famous Faun musicians who have left Ulthran to play in various courts of the elites in Sovereign Shores and Nastiabach, and in the Current Age, the Champion Lyra is considered one of the most gifted Fauns out there. Faun festivals are trendy in Ulthran, and the children of the forest frequently come up with various reasons to justify another music gathering and celebration. To be a Faun is to be free-spirited and one with the music.

Government

Like the Faeries, Fauns are likely to follow the rule and wisdom of the Messenger of Ulthran, who conveys the will of Ulla through the trees themselves. As Fauns can be found across Ulthran, many live within the settlements and societies of the Druids and, as such, also adhere to the Druid Council's rules.

Physical

Fauns at first appear to be Human, but to look at their legs is to notice the difference. Fauns have the legs of a goat and the torso and head of a Human. Despite Fauns being one of the most common races in Ulthran and regular travelers to other kingdoms, they still draw attention from passersby who are unused to such a sight.

Personality

They are peace-loving and dedicated to preserving the forests of Ulthran. They are more easygoing than the other creatures, with a penchant for the arts and music. 

Talents

Many Fauns are exceptional musicians and singers. In Ulthran, it is common for Fauns to become tree singers, using their musical talents to sing to the trees and help them grow tall and strong.
