Overview
The Goblins are an inventive race, although their designs tend more toward the dangerous side than the
Dwarves and
Gnomes. They delight in crafting new creations, no matter how harmful they may be. They sided with the
Orcs long ago in the war against the Light and were expelled from
Korozok by their cousins. The Goblin race now resides in
Nastiabach and
Sovereign Shores, giving their talents and loyalties to these nations as long as they receive sufficient compensation. While the Orcs were hunted ruthlessly by the Dwarves, the Goblins managed to avoid persecution and have made a career and a solid reputation with the
Humans nations for weapon crafting.
Culture
The goblins are obsessed with their work, ever-focusing on new methodologies and technologies to craft their inventions. While the Dwarves and Gnomes are famed for their exquisite smithing work and technology, the Goblins are in a league of their own regarding destruction. It appears to be endemic to their culture as all Goblins in Nastiabach and the Sovereign Shores are renowned for the tools of war that they create.
Government
The Goblins honor the leadership of the country where they reside, Nastiabach or Sovereign Shores, and consider themselves citizens of their respective countries. They are afforded several tax breaks for their military technology efforts, and Goblins, throughout the years, have become incredibly rich thanks to the generous benefactors in the Human regions. Goblins are very much servants of the Human condition for war, but that allows them many opportunities to grow within their interpretation of the law.
